Rockbamboo's Treaty 4 Land Acknowledgment

A land acknowledgement is to honour the true spirit and intent of treaty. We acknowledge that we are settlers sharing a familial bond with all signatories of treaty in the same spirit of the Two Row Wampum. Rockbamboo resides upon Treaty 4 lands: home of the Cree, Sioux (Lakota, Nakota, and Dakota), and Saulteaux (Plains Ojibwe, Anishinaabe) Indigenous peoples.

Our Story

Consider this–you’re one, your future spouse is one, you both live within a few miles of each other in the Richmond/Delta areas of Vancouver. When you both turn two, her family moves to Hong Kong, China, and his to Moose Jaw, SK. You grow up on opposite sides of the planet until her parents send her to Caronport High School and he switches schools to the same one. You end up in the same photography class and before you know it you are married, own 3 cats, and built Rockbamboo!

JOSEPH

Hello! I'm the photographer/videographer, drone pilot, and equipment manager for Rockbamboo.
I could talk about ancient civilizations or plants for hours–I might even sneak you an odd fact or story here and there while we're on a shoot! Beyond Canada and the U.S. I have travelled to Europe, East Asia, Central America and am looking forward to travelling more!
My assets: years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of both natural and artificial light.
